Mumbai: Actress Ameesha Patel, known for her role in the blockbuster film ‘Ghadar 2’, has revealed that Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor was not one to turn down the film ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’.
Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan made his debut in the blockbuster film ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’. It is commonly believed that Kareena Kapoor was initially offered the heroine role but turned it down.
In a recent interview, Ameesha Patel clarified that Kareena Kapoor did not refuse the role. Instead, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan dropped her due to a lack of compatibility between them. Patel added that Roshan had seen her at a wedding, leading to her being offered the lead role in the film.
The Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Ghadar 2‘ is setting new milestones at the Indian box office, with its earnings crossing the 500-crore mark.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is busy preparing for her upcoming Netflix thriller, ‘Jaan-e-Jaan’. As of now, there has been no response from her regarding Ameesha Patel’s statement.
