Played in Multan, Pakistan batted first and scored 342 runs in the allocated 50 overs. In pursuit of the target, Nepal’s entire team was bowled out for 104 runs.

From Nepal, Sompal Kami scored 28, Aarif Sheikh 26, and Gulshan Jha 13 runs. No other Nepali player could reach double figures. Shadab Khan took 4 wickets, while Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi took 2 each, and Mohammad Nawaz and Naseem Shah took one each.

Earlier in the opening match of the Asia Cup, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 342 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Captain Babar Azam scored 151, Iftikhar Ahmad 109, and Mohammad Rizwan 44 runs.

Opener Fakhar Zaman once again failed to score any significant runs and was out for just 14. Imam-ul-Haq and Agha Salman scored 5 runs each, and Shadab Khan made just 4 runs.

From Nepal, Sompal Kami took 2, Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took one wicket each.
