CM Maryam Nawaz Distributes Scholarships To Sialkot Students

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz gave scholarships to students in Sialkot as part of Punjab’s Honhaar Scholarship Programme. The event was held at the Government College Women University, Sialkot. During the ceremony, she gave cheques to students and encouraged them to focus on their studies.

The Honhaar Scholarship Programme is the largest of its kind in Pakistan. It gives Rs72 million to 30,000 first-year students across Punjab. These scholarships are given based on merit, meaning only hardworking students get them. No recommendations from politicians or ministers are allowed in the process, making it fair for everyone.

Scholarships, Laptops, and Electric Bikes

CM Maryam Nawaz Distributes Scholarships to Sialkot Students and announced more good news for them. Students who score 65% or above in their exams will receive free laptops. The first batch of laptops has already arrived.

The Chief Minister also shared that 100,000 electric bikes will be given to students soon. These bikes will help students travel easily to their schools and colleges. This is especially helpful for girls who sometimes face difficulties in getting to their educational institutions.

Supporting Hardworking Students

At the event, the CM praised a student named Aliza Riaz from the University of Narowal. Aliza received a scholarship cheque for her excellent academic performance. The CM said this program will inspire other students to work hard and achieve their goals.

She also encouraged parents to support their daughters in their education. She said that educated girls can bring pride to their families and make Pakistan stronger.

A Promise of Fairness

Maryam Nawaz promised that her government is working with honesty and fairness. She said that no officer in Punjab is given a job or transfer based on political recommendations. This ensures that all government programs, like the scholarship scheme, are run fairly.

Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif and Punjab Higher Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat also attended the event. They praised the CM for supporting education.
