Winter Break the Schools in Balochistan Announced Today

The Balochistan Education Department has announced winter vacations for schools, colleges, and universities across 20 districts, including Quetta. The closure, which begins today (Monday), is due to a significant drop in temperatures.

Balochistan Schools in colder areas will remain closed until February 28, while in relatively warmer regions, the break will last from January 1 to January 10. This staggered approach considers the varying climate conditions across the province.

Extreme Weather Conditions

Quetta’s temperature has dropped to -1°C, and Kalat is even colder at -3°C. Northern and mountainous areas face freezing weather, making it essential to protect students from health risks associated with extreme cold.
